Why Should You Have A Brake Fluid Flush Performed?

 
Brake fluid is “hygroscopic”. This means brake fluid attracts moisture from the air. This is the main reason to change your brake fluid. As brake fluid ages it becomes contaminated with moisture and small particles causing the boiling point of the fluid to go down. When this happens the braking performance may be reduced. Your vehicle may experience a soft pedal, limited braking, or, in absolute worst cases, no braking at all.
 
Brake fluid flushes are standard and legitimate preventative maintenance.
Most manufacturers recommend having a Brake fluid flush performed once every 2-3 years.
